Nicolas Van Erum is set to join Montreal digital agency CloudRaker as vice-president and partner next week, leaving BleuBlancRouge and his title of executive vice-president.

Van Erum has been at BleuBlancRouge for two years, overseeing work on the Toyota, Apple and Vancouver 2010 accounts.

CloudRaker co-president Jean-Sebastien Monty first met Van Erum in the late '90s when the two worked together at Cossette, where Van Erum eventually became a senior strategic planner and a lead on the Bell account.

"We needed a good strategic thinker who understands client realities and how to move brands forward," Monty said. "I've been handling client services and my partner [co-president Thane Calder] has managed strategy, but we've also been doing a lot of other things to manage the business. To let us focus on business development, Nico will be growing accounts and guiding them in the proper creative."

Van Erum starts at CloudRaker on Monday.
