[ Did you make the MIAs shortlist? ]

The 2009 Media Innovation Awards gala is less than four weeks away. And for the first time ever, Marketing is offering a hint of what you’ll see that night.

“Today we are announcing a short list of clients and agencies that are this year’s ‘finalists,’ ” said Lauren Richards, MIAs co-chair and CEO of Starcom Mediavest Group. “What you see in this list is the top work entered in the MIAs this year and making it onto this list is an achievement unto itself.

“This was the short list that our panel of esteemed judges discussed, debated and eventually voted on to determine which campaigns would medal.”

All the shortlisted campaigns will be on display at the Awards Gala, Nov. 12 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

“Being able to review the campaigns will be a great learning opportunity for media professionals hoping to take their ideas to the next level,” said Richards.
