Nissan is extending its latest campaign in the hopes of connecting with car buyers one on one.

While the line "The best part of your day" has been a part of Nissan's advertising for several months, the campaign has launched a new website, BestPartOfYourDay.ca, ahead of a holiday blitz.

The site provides visitors with a collection of applications and content feeds meant to put a smile on visitors' faces. It includes a collection of YouTube videos, an "excuse generator" for getting out of work, "Road Trip Randomizer" and bumper sticker maker, with more applications to be added in the coming weeks.

The company's latest television ad is also available on the site, promoting the Versa model's spacious interior.

The campaign will also manifest in social media outreach and events where street teams will perform random acts of kindness for holiday shoppers, such as giving away coffee and finding free parking spaces.

Jeff Parent, vice-president, sales and marketing for Nissan Canada, said "best part of your day" is an attempt to create "a campaign umbrella that will live everywhere we are, from out-of-home to television and newspapers... We'll want to put modular pieces into it for as long as [the campaign] lasts. We think it could last a long time."

Some of the coming online efforts will ask for user-generated content to open direct conversations with consumers. Visitors will be asked to share the best part of their day through various social media channels.

"As we get more followers, we'll offer ‘micro-incentives' to them," Parent said. "As an example, we'd give everybody in Calgary a special deal for a day."

The campaign was developed by TBWA\Toronto.
