Ian Danzig President/Founder Exclaim! Media
Ian Danzig attended the University of Waterloo's Computer Science co-op program through the mid '80s, and hosted a college radio program at Waterloo's CKMS. After graduating with honours, Danzig moved back to Toronto for a job in marketing and sales with IBM. Finishing at the top of the class during IBM's intensive sales and technology training program, he was invited to be part of IBM's Vice Presidents' Council. While in Toronto, Danzig continued to work in college radio at Ryerson University's CKLN. In 1991 Danzig abandoned his promising career at IBM, choosing to pursue his passion for music by founding Exclaim! Media. Danzig guided Exclaim! magazine's growth and evolution into one of Canada's premier music culture publication. He also built an events platform around national concert tours and regional performances, and took Exclaim! online, establishing its first web presence in 1994.
