TC Media has hired a new digital marketing director. Joanne Acri, who has more than a decade of marketing experience, will step into the Toronto-based position on July 16.

Acri’s responsibilities will include developing and executing digital marketing plans for different business groups within TC Media.

She was most recently a senior manager, marketing at Yahoo Canada, where she led B2B marketing. Acri started with that company in 2007 and held a succession of increasingly senior roles.

Before that, she did web marketing at The Globe and Mail and The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

Part of Transcontinental Inc., TC Media saw a shift in executive management recently when its president, Natalie Larivière, stepped down after almost six years with the group. François Olivier, Transcontinental’s president and CEO, is filling the role as a replacement is sought.
