Egg Farmers of Canada, the Ottawa-based national not-for-profit organization that represents egg farmers, has appointed Cossette its new agency of record.
The agency will handle strategic planning, creative and media duties for its new client for both the English and French markets, and was selected following a formal search that concluded with a short list of six agencies.
According to a statement from the Egg Farmers of Canada, Cossette won the business based on chemistry, its ability to work in both official languages, and vision for the future.
“We were also impressed with their integrated offering and their strategic insights into our business,” said Bonnie Cohen, Egg Farmers of Canada’s manager of marketing and nutrition, in a statement. “Their broad marketing perspective, as well as Cossette’s appreciation of Canadian regional differences, will be essential as we begin plans for the launch of a new integrated, national campaign sometime early next year.”
Cossette was founded in 1972 in Quebec City. Its client roster includes General Mills, Telus, Home Depot and McDonald’s.
