Anne Fortin, vice-president and managing director at the Montreal office of Draftfcb Canada, has left her position after 18 years at the agency to become vice-president of marketing for GP Car and Home and Belairdirect.
Taking over Fortin’s role at Draftfcb is Jean-Francois Giguere, who moves up from his current position as vice-president of planning and development.
Giguere, who joined Draftfcb in 2006, said he would aim to preserve the agency culture fostered by his predecessor.
“One of the reasons I decided to join the agency was the values and the human approach of the agency here,” said Giguere. “For the employees, it’s going to be the same. It’s not going to be a 180-degree change for the agency.”
Fortin officially steps down from Draftfcb today. Though unavailable for an interview, she said in an e-mail that she would be responsible for direct-to-consumer brands in her new role..
