Holiday Cheer: Zulu Alpha Kilo

Some parents really go the extra mile on the whole Santa Claus thing (a northern neighbour of ours would create sleigh runner tracks and hoof prints on his roof and in his backyard… probably until the kids were older than would have been considered socially healthy). This fanaticism may be a bit easier now that Toronto creative shop Zulu Alpha Kilo has released Kringl, an app that places Santa into a scene in the user’s home.

A pre-selected Santa scene can be overlaid on a film shot in a user’s living room with a smartphone (the app is available for both Apple and Android platforms). Users can also orient Santa within the room and adjust lighting so Santa matches his surroundings.

The app is free to download, but provides an option for users to make a donation to Make-a-Wish Canada.
