The Marketing and Hyper Island Twitter contest wrapped up this past Sunday. The prize was a coveted spot in the three-day Hyper Island Digital Master Class being held this December in Vancouver (a prize valued at $4,000). The question: “What is more valuable to marketers: a strong brand or leading technology? And why?”
So who came out tops? Was it brand? Was it technology? Actually, the winner was Jerrid Grimm from Newad Media who won with his witty tweet and accompanying Vine.
The judges—Jaclyn Ciamillo, Hyper Island Global Partnership Director and Richard Sandor, Eustress Marketing & Hyper Island Ambassador—noted that top notch entries seemed to pile in over the weekend and made it a tough call. So difficult was the judging that they decided to create and award a second place prize to Drew Geldart from Central One. Drew picks up a spot at Hyper Island for 50% off. Drew managed to embed a professorial type prezi deck into his tweet.
You can see all the entries & the conversation on twitter #HIYVR. Thanks to everyone who tweeted and big congrats to Jerrid and Drew.
Here are the two winning entries:
