Lee leaves Cundari. Edelman adds eight new members to its Toronto office.
A recap of who’s headed where in Canadian marketing and communications.
GARRY LEE, the former president and chief strategic officer at Cundari, joined Hyundai Canada’s in-house agency, Innocean Canada, as executive vice-president of client business where he will oversee creative, account management, strategic planning and media.
JACK NEARY, TBWA\Toronto’s chief creative officer, is taking a one-year hiatus to pen his memoirs. TBWA\Canada and Latin America president Jay Bertram says he’s looking internally to fill Neary’s position.
JEFF MCLEAN was appointed creative director at Edmonton-based advertising and PR firm Calder Bateman Communications. McLean has more than two decades of design and advertising experience in Edmonton, Vancouver and Toronto. He was most recently a senior art director with St. John’s-based Target Marketing & Communications on the Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism campaign.
Taxi hired TOM GRECO and COLIN BROWN as senior writer and senior art director, respectively. Greco and Brown have been partners for more than a decade, working at agencies such as Bensimon Byrne, Cossette and Juniper Park.
Proximity Canada added two members to its Toronto office. TYLER TRUNBULL returned from the UK to join the agency as SVP, head of planning. He was most recently joint head of planning ith Publicis London. JACOB CIESIELSKI joined Proximity as VP data intergration technologies. Over the years he has worked on such brands as MBNA, Capital One, GE Money, Kraft and Rogers.
Edelman Toronto added eight new members to its team. LAURA BUTCHER joined the technology practice as senior account director. DEVON BURKE and CANDI JERONIMO joined the same practice as senior account managers. SHERRI-LYNN BROWN and LYNN BESSOUDO joined the consumer marketing practice as senior account managers. EARLENE TANG joined the corporate and public affairs practice as an account director, JOSH MUIRHEAD joined the digital practice as a senior account manager, while JAMES ROBERTS joined the firm as a senior designer.
