“let us get rid of the old farts” someone said. I am sure this person is going to be one sooner than later – whatever an “old fart” is. It is on the back’s of the old farts that SOME of the time-wasting, chair-warming half brain-dead “rookies” are able to keep their jobs. Do not paint everyone with the same paint-brush. Also shows this person needs a shot of grey matter.

Here is my take:

Why bailout an American brand with US and Canadian money then award a huge account like this to UK based holding company? That is nuts.

On the other side, Canadian agencies are not producing work on any global stage to gain recognition, we are always seen as a third world county, GM has ran with many global ad campaigns produced from other media shops around the world, M2 never produced.

Shortage of media buyers and planners? The reason you find the shortage is that the old farts at agencies who seat down whole day [redacted], don’t answer calls, don’t reply to emails are the ones choking innovation and some of the bright ideas that come from media vendors and rookies, they shut it down. Guess what the old farts do and say alone my client only likes: TV,NEWSPAPER,MAGAZINE,RADIO.

There is nothing great to talk about the media landscape in Canada in terms of innovation in media, let’s get rid of the old farts who seat 15years in the industry with no new tactical thinking, they are afraid to take risk with innovation, agencies are hired to take risk. No risk, No reward.

Please No Old Farts to Comment here.. Please

With an attitude like that, James will have no fear of ever becoming an old fart himself. He’ll either be out of the industry or still in the mail room.
