The Association of Canadian Advertisers has issued its call for nominations for the ACA Gold Medal, which honours “the top level of personal achievement in Canadian marketing and advertising,” says association president and CEO Ron Lund.
“The recipients of this award form a distinguished vanguard of industry leaders and visionaries. Over the decades they have come from every walk of the industry, and that makes this singular award especially esteemed,” Lund said.
The medal, which has been awarded annually over the past 72 years, goes to an individual who has had a “measurable” and “distinctive” impact on Canadian marketing, either with a single achievement or over the course of a career. The honour is open to professionals from all branches of the industry (advertisers, agencies, media, researchers, academics, associations, etc.)
Previous winners have included Dr. Alan Middleton (2012), Ed Marra (2005), John Cassaday (2004) and Frank Palmer (2003).
For the second year in a row, the medal will be presented in partnership with Marketing, and the recipient will be honoured during the 2013 Marketing Awards Gala, May 30 in Toronto.
Nomination information is available at the ACA website.
