On the list of global creativity awards, few rate as high as the One Club‘s program honouring advertising, design and interactive media excellence. The 37th annual One Show and its younger One Show Interactive and One Show Design awards will soon draw the industry to New York.

Leo continues One Show medal streak
Leo Burnett‘s Toronto team earned three medals at Thursday night’s One Show Awards, arguably the biggest of the One Club’s award programs. The wins add to the three Pencils the agency won Monday night at One Show Design.
“The One Show is incredibly tough to win,” said Leo Burnett’s chief executive officer/chief creative officer Judy John at the packed reception at Alice Tully Hall in uptown New York City. “The judges are tougher here than at Cannes, so this is an honour for Leo.” [Full story]

The 2012 OneShow Awards kicked off last night with One Show Design, a packed Monday night fete held at the IAC Building, a Frank Gehry-designed building (how apropos given the subject matter being honoured) in New York’s Chelsea neighbourhood.

April 26, 2012 – To promote its One Show award programs, the One Club has partnered with Mullen for an online video game that pits players against some recognizable advertising icons.
April 25, 2012 – Looking to develop its four-year-old branded entertainment awards program, the One Club has named Chris Bruss, vice-president of branded entertainment at FunnyOrDie.com, as jury chair for its One Show Entertainment Awards. [Full story]
