She will provide editorial leadership, vision and direction for the 44-year-old brand. She is also charged with developing brand extensions and increasing brand awareness in order to boost audience engagement.

Crépeau has spent the past year as associate editor-in-chief at the publication. In an internal memo to staff, senior vice-president and general manager, publishing Steve Maich said that Crépeau possesses the required leadership skills, as well as a “deep knowledge” of lifestyle content and audiences.

“She has a strong understanding, appreciation and enthusiasm for the unique brand that is Châtelaine,” said Maich.

Crépeau has been with Rogers Media for nearly eight years. Before arriving at Châtelaine, she was web editorial manager at current affairs title L’actualité. She also worked as a journalist and assistant news desk editor for the Quebec TV network TVA.
