dear, yet another Agency of the Future. Remember the megerr of Draft and FCB Or the disaster called Enfatico. As I say on AdScam this is doomed. It may save money (Isn't that the reason for everything in the ad biz these days?) But can you imagine the guy in Sao Paulo calling Jeff and saying “Down here in ThongLand, we just love “Chevy Runs Deep.” We intend to use it on all the English language ads we enter for Cannes this year.” And, as I also ask, concerning the picture of the Global Committee Is that a grin, or a grimace on Jeff's face?Cheers/George AdScam Parker

My money's on Cheil. It's a dark horse but makes best political move for Ewanick. Also bet money that this reveiw would not be taking place if the Goodby advertising had elicited the same reactions as W+K's work for Chrysler. This reveiw could possibly be a nice smoke & mirror attempt to divert attention away from the real problem unclear direction and vision from the client. why wasn't this global (popular word lately) view envisioned 15 months ago? because Goodby was gonna knock the socks off the auto ad world. but that didn't happen. Instead on Super Bowl night, Chrysler rolled in and took center stage. And anything that's been done is well-produced but that's about it. Chevy Runs Deep is lame because there is no good creative to support. Imported from Detroit was lame. Then W+K debuted that tag with their creative. Now people are buying t-shirts with that line. And theres a rebirth of pride to be a part of Detroit in some way. Joel's gotta come up with a Hail Mary pass. Real soon.

I wish a documentary film crew was following the "new" agency so we could all sit back with popcorn and watch this disaster unfold.
