Capping a year that saw it add several pieces of business including Tourism PEI, Equifax, Remstar Films, SeaWorld and eyewear maker Safilo Canada, IPG Mediabrands’ M2 unit has appointed Robin LeGassicke as its new vice-president, client business partner.
Reporting directly to president Leeanne Comish, LeGassicke will oversee new business as well as strategy and planning for key agency clients including Wendy’s Canada, Wind Mobile, Sleep Country Canada and Remstar Films. She has spent the past two years with GroupM’s Maxus Canada network.
LeGassicke’s arrival follows that of Will Pate, who joined the company in August as VP, digital strategy. Pate’s digital experience includes involvement with several major brands including Bloomberg, GE, Google, IBM and Staples.
The agency has also expanded longtime executive Andrea Parnell’s duties, promoting her to SVP, managing director. Parnell, who has been with m2 for 16 years, now oversees the agency’s operations, media strategy and planning functions in addition to working across major accounts including RBC Financial Group and Dairy Farmers of Canada.
“We have had a hugely exciting year at m2,” said Comish in a release. “We have the right talent, the right organizational structure, and the right support from the network to provide our clients with superior integrated solutions that drive their business results. Today, m2 encapsulates what brands need to navigate the current and future media landscape.”
