Mindshare promotes Bonnick

Mindshare Canada has promoted Sandra Bonnick to managing director of client leadership, heading up the Unilever team. She replaces Sheri Cooper, who now leads the agency’s Air Canada team.

Reporting directly to president and chief strategy officer Jake Norman, Bonnick is now responsible for all aspects of the agency’s Unilever account, ensuring that the agency’s work aligns with the CPG giant’s business objectives.

Bonnick joined Mindshare four years ago as director of Unilever’s personal care division. Under her guidance, the team produced work such as #Dovepositivechange, which involved real-time tweeting in response to self-deprecating tweets by females watching the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

“We are delighted to appoint a managing director of Sandra’s calibre from within the agency,” said Norman in a release. “Sandra has a long track record of developing and executing strategic, culturally relevant and results-driven communications plans. Her increased role at the agency is a boon to colleagues and clients alike.”

Bonnick’s appointment follows a series of new account wins for Mindshare in 2013, including Air Canada, Dyson, Ontario Power Authority and Premier Tech.
