The Montreal sales group of Quebecor Media has made a deal with public transport agency Société de Transport de Montréal that will see operations for transit shelter advertising on its bus route network handled by Quebecor Media’s new outdoor division.
The 20-year agreement goes into effect Nov. 1.
Quebecor Media’s transit shelter network includes roughly 2,700 advertising faces throughout Montreal.
Quebecor Media Outdoor vice-president Claude Foisy said the company wants to create an interactive and fun user experience and add value and advertising potential to the transit shelter network through technical innovations.
A subsidiary of Quebecor Inc., Quebecor Media now offers six media platforms for advertisers: the new Transit Shelter+, as well as conventional and specialty TV, the web, newspapers, magazines and door-to-door distribution bag Sac Plus.
