Videology adds three to its Canadian sales team

Video advertising platform Videology is expanding its sales team in Canada after seeing a large year-over-year rise in the volume of impressions through its platform.

Rory Gilliland and Michelle Mills have joined the tech company as account executives. Sam Gottfried has joined as sales strategy manager. The new hires will report into vice-president of sales Ryan Ladisa.

The company reports that number of video ad impressions that ran through its platform in Q3 of last year saw a year-over-year growth of 206%.

Commenting on the new hires in a release, Ladisa said the newly expanded team will help the company meet the growing needs of its clients. He said that the large increase in Videology’s business in the past several months is partially related to “an accelerating interest in video advertising by marketers as viewing continues to travel across devices, as well as to our expanding client base within the market.”

Previously an account executive with GameTV, Gilliland has a broadcast sales background and has also worked at Shaw, Alliance Atlantis and Canwest in various sales capacities. He began his media career as a media buyer at Mediaedge.

Mills was most recently an integrated campaign specialist at Olive Media. She started with the company in 2010 as a national account manager.

Gottfried was recently at Rogers Digital Media, where he was a national sales planner. During his two years with the company, he worked his way up from digital sales coordinator to becoming a client relationship manager to his more recent role there.

Based in Baltimore, Maryland, Videology has several offices throughout North America, Europe and Asia, including London, Paris, Madrid and Tokyo.
