Watch This: Crew launches with Ram homage

Crew, an online lifestyle magazine “curated with a gay point of view,” is spoofing a popular Super Bowl ad to announce its launch.
The video, titled “So God Made a Gay Man,” parodies Ram Truck’s recent Super Bowl hit “So God Made A Farmer.” This ad has been spoofed several times since its original airing, singing the praises of gamers, actors and others, and is in fact an homage itself to a Farms.com video.
Crew is published by Peter Coish, former DraftFCB Toronto president, founder of XY Media Ventures and the Toronto-based Cloud Ad Agents (a cloud-based ad agency once aligned with The Hive).
“Discovery and web curation are a big part of what we do,” said Coish, in a statement. “We are creating a daily destination for anyone interested in content that goes beyond the usual sex and politics of gay media to examine all elements of a sophisticated, modern lifestyle – gay or straight.”
RBC is onboard as Crew’s inaugural advertiser, with ads and “custom editorials” appearing on the site throughout 2013.
