Giftagram, the iPhone app that offers a simple way to send gifts, has selected Toronto and New York-based agency NKPR to develop and execute a strategic PR and media relations program, including social media counsel.

Key pillars of NKPR activity supporting the company’s launch in the Toronto market include media and influencer engagement, strategic partnership development and gift content curation.

With no address required, the app’s users send gifts using only the recipient’s email or mobile number. The recipient is directed to a secure landing page where they type in their preferred address for delivery. Rather than charge consumers more for merchandise, Giftagram profits through revenue sharing and affiliate fees with its network of boutique retailers and businesses.

Giftagram currently delivers within the Toronto area and has plans to expand local partnerships in major cities across North America.

“Giftagram appeals to both consumers and retail partners,” said Natasha Koifman, president of NKPR, in a release. “For time-strapped consumers, Giftagram provides a convenient platform to gift friends, family and loved ones with unique and personalized gifts for any occasion. For retail and brand partners, the Giftagram platform delivers marketing exposure, a turn key distribution channel and direct consumer engagement.”
