Watch This: Born from the cube (Brink Studio)
February 11, 2013 | Comments
Brink Studio recently opened in Toronto with a roster of 10 directors and a mandate to operate “on the bleeding edge of creativity.”
The shop was founded by its president, Irfan Saleemi, who is joined in the executive suite by executive producer Richard Cureton and director of sales Jaime Randle.
The stop-motion promotional film presented here is the studio’s first official creation (though its website showcases its directors previous work).
“I wanted to play with the idea of a company being ‘born,’ formed out of a raw material and reshaped into something solid and enduring,” said the spot’s direct, Jordan Canning. “As I experimented with the blocky letters of the Brink logo, I noticed that if I stacked them together a certain way, they began to form a solid cube – this seemingly impenetrable object that could be split open with a powerful enough force. That force, to me, as Brink.”
